Hong Kong Airport

So, you might think that all I've done is be on my laptop. It's probably not too far off. Yale and I are both here updating our blogs. Our flight Toyo leaves in about 40 min. Anyway, the HK airport seems like a cool place; I didn't really explore it all that much, but I'm sure I'll have another opportunity later in my adventures. I must say that it's exciting to hear people speak Japanese. Sadly, my Japanese is horrible. I was able to ask a Japanese man to take this picture of Yale and myself.

Hey! I forgot to call you about places to go in Singapore...my wife suggests Little India, Chinatown, Newton Circus (famous for food -- touristy so it's a little bit more expensive and you can get the food elsewhere, but here it's all in one place. Otherwise, go look for a Hawker Center, just ask anyone for the nearest one), Harbourfront (check out the stupid Merlion there...sign of Singapore), Orchard Road, and Bugis Junction. Other suggestions are the Esplanade and Raffles Place/City Hall.

Food to try: Chilli Crab, Hainan Chicken Rice, Stingray (in Newton Circus), Chow Kuey Teow (aka Carrot Cake), Ice Kachang, Bread and Ice Cream (in Orchard Road...basically a chunk of ice cream wrapped in bread), Katong Laksa, and Curry Fishhead (Marina Square).

Hope that helps!

Oh...update on that last comment, Newton Circus is only open at night and a good Hawker Center to try if you're in the area is the Bukit Timah Hawker Center cause it's a big one so it has pretty much everything that Newton Circus does for a much cheaper price!

Marissa... I've now uploaded the picture. Realize that sometimes I'm in random spots and I can't always upload pics, even though I mention them in the blog...

Yup. Nothing like a 4-year old pair of unstylish glasses to make me look "worldly and hip."
